The Bell & Gossett 118440LF is a bronze pump impeller with a 3-7/8" outside diameter. This impeller repairs Series 2-1/2 and Series LD3 booster pumps. The impeller is a rotating component within the pump casing that transfers mechanical energy from the motor to the fluid being pumped. The main purpose of a pump impeller is to convert the rotational energy from the motor into kinetic energy in the fluid. As the impeller rotates, it creates a centrifugal force that pushes the fluid away from the center of rotation, causing it to move outward and thus create flow.
