Description
The WT2630 series room sensors are battery operated and work on the 900MHz spread spectrum technology which allows for easy installation without long wire runs and expensive labor. Wireless room sensors can be used in museums, churches and historical sites where traditional wired sensor installation would cause damage or be expensive to install. The sensors can be used in new construction or to retrofit HVAC, building automation, and light industrial systems with minimal downtime and expense compared to hardwired sensors. The WT2630 is available in three different configurations to monitor temperature (WT2630A), temperature, set point and override for local temperature and after hours control (WT2630B), and temperature with override (WT2630C), to send the data wirelessly to an RM2432D receiver that converts the wireless signal to voltage input to a DDC controller, or to a transceiver that will send the data to a BAS using BACnet, Modbus, or Lonworks protocol. Transmission distance in a typical building is 200-300 feet horizontal depending on the layout and construction of the building, and one floor above and one floor below the transceiver. Sensor distance and reliability can be increased with the addition of a RR2552B(s) repeater.
